I remember growing up and hearing the grade school rhyme, “April Showers Bring May Flowers.” Even then, it spoke to something beautiful being on the other side of the storm. The hard. The inconvenient.
Spring more broadly carries that feeling too. That reawakening energy. An unfurling. Of all that’s pulled inward through winter. The closed becomes open. The yellow daffodils emerge from the snow.
The intentional pursuit of big dreams is about agency and empowerment, and actually stepping into those things. How we do that is up to us. And there are so many ways.
One of my favorite ways is to work with nature. Seasons present an opportunity to work with the energy that is naturally present to bring your goals and dreams more and more into being. And, to do this most deeply and fully, we must honor the storms as well as the flowers.
With Some Days, May Flowers, we will make space for exactly that.
From May 1-3, 2026, we will spend our time in the enchanted forest of Idyllwild, California, moving through experiences and workshops intentionally architected for embodied coaching, learning and tool-building. Not in the sense of intellectually understanding or a formal “lesson plan.” Rather, in the sense of a thoughtfully curated and guided living into the learnings, unlocks and wisdom that is available when we cultivate intentional space and reflect.
Ahead of our time, we will meet one-on-one to clarify what feels most alive for you going into the retreat and how you might wish to focus your time. The sessions with participants will meet with the seasonal energy, all of which I will use to intuitively craft a retreat customized to the participants and the moment we find ourselves in.
To keep the retreat intimate, it will be limited to seven people. See here for additional details.
(a simple process meant to be an intentional step towards your Some Day)
Someone asked me recently about who this work is intended for. I explained I think of my work with Some Days as being for people who want to live fully and bravely. Often, that comes with some kind of a longing or a seeking for something more or different than what they’re experiencing today. And whatever that is, is what I think of as the big dream or the Some Day (we tend to have lots of these in our lives, which I think is part of the fun).
I talk more about this here, but there are so many ways this can show up across all dimensions of our lives – working to advance in our career, finding ways to align purpose, values and impact while doing that or otherwise, leaning into leadership and experience that feels authentically you, defining “success” on your terms, moving through stuckness and/or other things that can get in the way of our Some Day, setting and achieving big goals in a way that feels nourishing and rewarding, being more present in our lives and with our loved ones, being more comfortable in our own skin, being brave and bold in pursuit of a life that looks more like the one we long to live, and even getting clear on what that is. So many things.
What always comes to mind for me is “Live it all” and “Live it as the gift.” I want to leave it all on the field and really experience and appreciate it while I do, even when it’s hard. And that’s where I tend to see the resonance.
If this resonates for you, please apply here (again, a simple process meant to be an intentional step towards your Some Day).
